Great Expectations by Charles Dickens was written in 1861 and was the English Author’s 13th novel. This Bildungsroman (or coming of age tale) is set around London and Kent in the 1800s and is narrated by our hero and orphan Pip. The novel is equally famous for its protagonist as it is for the reclusive Miss Havisham character with whom Pip’s life becomes entangled. This an English Audiobook, read-aloud by Mil Nicholson

Crime and Punishment

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (sometimes translated at Fyodor Dostoyevsky ) were written in 1866 and this particular version has been translated by Constance Garnett. This epic piece of classic Russian Literature focuses on the mental, philosophical, and moral plight of an impoverished former student called Rodion Raskolnikov. Could a murder ever be justified if it leads to a bigger benefit to the world – This is the heart of the dilemma of Rodion’s life and the biggest question raised by this incredible audiobook.
