Treasure Island

July 8, 2020 by o I

Treasure Island by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson by was first published back in 1883. The well loved novel tells the incredible tale of young Jim Hawkins who comes into possession of a seemingly cursed treasure map. The tale takes us aboard a pirate ship, on a quest for buried treasure that can only be obtained if the curse of the black spot can be avoided. So much more than the definitive pirate tale that spawned tropes such as an X marking the spot, parrots and 1 legged pirates, this is a remarkable coming of age tale that all the family will enjoy.
